Gumbo

RECIPE of gumbo

Ingredients : 

– the « roux »

– veggies like celery, onions, bell pepers, parsley, tomatoes

– sausage

– meat like chicken, sausage and shrimp

– spices as you want

HOW make it?

1. make the roux in a large pot : you need two ingredients : flour and oil. Cook them together on medium low heat, mix it constantly until it becomes brown like chocolate. (you can make the roux 4-5 days in advance)

2. chop the vegetables

3. brown the sausage in a singlelayer, on a hot and large skillet

4. add the vegetables and the sausage in the large pot with the roux

5. add meat (chicken, shrimps) and spices.

Serve your gumbo wram over hot cooked rice !
